Based in the UK, Freightbook Ltd was formed by Rachel Humphrey who has been actively involved with global freight networks since the mid-90s. Rachel Humphrey launched Freightbook Ltd in July 2009 as a new concept of linking forwarders together at a low-cost and as an alternative to a traditional freight network. Since then 1500+ companies in 140+ countries have registered with Freightbook and are promoting their services on a global scale whilst at the same time driving traffic to their own websites.
Freightbook have been running an online Freight directory application for a number of years and came to us to help them modernise the site and improve its usability, with a view to increasing the functionality and making the site future-proof. The application works for desktops and mobile, and also has a separate mobile system. It enables clients to add their companies to the directory, manage their profiles, search other companies’ services and leave reviews and ratings.
During the process, our team worked closely with Freightbook to identify their brand values and create a clean, fresh look and overhauled the sites logo to create something simple, yet striking and meaningful. We worked to make the design consistent with other current networking systems with usability and responsive capabilities to match. Technical challenges included: Importing and maintaining a database of thousands of users Implementing secure payment systems for subscriptions Improving the usability of the profile editing sections Creating an admin system with content and customer relationship management Managing mass mail-shots for direct communications with the clients We are already looking to add the next new phase of functionality to the site… so watch this space!
Working with Redder is one of the best decisions I have made for my businesses. I decided to have 4 websites rebuilt and several online systems redesigned. The Redder team are great to work with and are attentive, clear, accessible and creative. I appreciated their focus and determination on achieving the optimum results for each site. My staff and I actually enjoying working in CMS now, rather than wanting to throw our PCs out the window. Couldn't be happier with the work they did!
